Instructions for Use

Sowing seeds:

Fill the seed tray, plug tray or pot evenly with compost and firm down lightly. Sow seeds following the recommendations on the seed packet.

Potting on:

Partly fill a pot (large enough to comfortably accommodate plant roots) with Bord na Móna Growise Organic Vegetable Compost. Ensure the plant to be re-potted is well watered. Tap it out of its container or carefully remove from its plug tray.

Position the undisturbed root ball of the plant in the new pot and top up with more compost. Gently firm the compost to ensure that no large air spaces are left around the roots. Water well and keep shaded until the plant is well established.

Use in organic raised beds:

The ideal spot for a vegetable garden is in an area of direct sunlight. The best way to grow organic vegetables is to make a raised bed using Bord na Móna Growise Organic Vegetable Compost where there is more control of the soil.  Using a trowel or dibber, make a planting hole and place a generous potful of Bord na Móna Growise Organic Vegetable Compost in the hole. Put the transplant with undisturbed root ball into the hole and firmly press into the compost to anchor the plant.
