An extra-ordinary perennial that contrasts sharply with the bright colours of other rudbeckias. The brilliant green sepals of Rudbeckia 'Green Wizard' surround a black centre cone with no visible petals. This tall variety offers an intriguing fresh cut flower that lasts in water or can be used in dried arrangements in late summer, and it makes an interesting spectacle for the rear of borders. It is easy to cultivate, quickly grows to a good size with lots of lush green foliage, and is usually a conversation starter. Height: 120 cm (47"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Growing Information

Grow rudbeckia plants in sun or semi shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.
