Breeders Blend is a 100% natural feed supplement aimed at broodmares. It is made up of Ascophyllum nodosum and Lithothamnium that contain a formulated balance of vitamins and minerals promoting healthy embryo development and the overall well-being of the mare.

For centuries, Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed from the cold North Atlantic has been used as a natural source feed supplement that is low in iodine and high in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. It contains 48 elements, 16 amino acids, and 11 vitamins. The macro algae is hand harvested using traditional and sustainable methods that have been used for centuries along Ireland’s Atlantic coast.

Lithothamnium calcareum is a type of red algae in the Corallinaceae family. It grows slowly, allowing it to filter and absorb large amounts of sea nutrients. Lithothamnium is rich in minerals, including 32 trace elements.

The flax oil content in Breeders Blend is an excellent source of ALA, a long chain essential fatty acid and precursor of eicosanoids such as EPA and DHA, both of which are important in the development of a healthy foetus and the quality of the mare’s milk.
