While cleaning the teeth and helping to freshen the breath, each chew will provide entertainment and enrichment. When choosing suitable treats for your pet to chew, consider the size of the treats in relation to your dog. Larger dogs should not be given small chews which may be gulped or swallowed whole. Separating your dog from other pets when chewing on rawhide treats will reduce the risk of gulping large pieces, especially if your dog is protective of their treats. Remove chews from your pet once they are small enough to be swallowed.
