We've tried and tested these varieties suitable for small spaces and know they'll succeed, but that's not to say there aren't other vegetable seeds that you could try!

Growing Information

Full growing instructions given on packet. Sow thinly into quality moist compost, covering lightly with compost. Maintain moisture. Harvest by ‘tipping’ with scissors when the leaves are 10-12cm (4-5"). A further harvest may be taken from re-growth. Sow little and often for tasty young leaves. Alternatively sow in outdoor container or border soil. Sowing: April-October. Harvest: April-October. Cropping: 2-3 weeks.

Sowing Information

Choose a sunny position and sow thinly into a finely raked, warm, moist soil in pots in bands approx. 9cm (3 1?2") wide, covering the seed lightly and firming the soil gently. Thin resulting seedlings if required to around 3cm (1") apart. Grow on keeping the soil moist. It should be possible to take the first 'clipping'; with scissors 14-20 days from sowing. Harvest the seedlings some 3cm (1") above the soil to allow the young plants to produce new leaf growth.
