Golden Gourmet is a very high yielding, Dutch variety that can be harvested as early as July. It has a golden brown skin, stores well and has better resistance to bolting than many other varieties.

Golden Gourmet is an improved version of traditional variety Giant Yellow. Golden Gourmet has larger and better quality bulbs than Giant Yellow, with reduced likelihood of bolting. Bulbs have golden brown skins and a good flavour, and store well into winter.  

Plant this yellow shallot from December to April, 3cm deep and 12cm apart.
