Last week, Miriam McDermott, Garden Centre Manager at Homeland Swinford collaborated with Kinaffe National School, Swinford, Co. Mayo who kindly asked Miriam to assist with some tree planting with all of their students.
Despite the weather, Miriam and the students had a most enjoyable day. Miriam also brought along some vegetable and flower seeds, potatoes and some Homeland Supergro Rose and Shrub Food.
The team at Homeland are very impressed that Kinaffe National School students have many ‘Grow your Own’ and Nature projects which are ongoing at their school. Miriam commented and commended the great enthusiasm of the group while working alongside them last week. Well done to all, thank you for having us! We cannot wait to see your new trees flourish and be kept up to date on your new vegetables, flowers and potatoes!
