Bat Box

This wooden bat box is an ideal roost location to attract bats and promote their conservation. Sturdy construction, this box features a double ridged landing spot for the bats. The bat box is made from white deal which has been coated with a non-toxic water based stain. This box is GLAS scheme compliant (Green Low-Carbon Agri-Environment Scheme) which focuses on the preservation of various habitats and species. It has predrilled holes for fixing to walls or fences etc, which ensure a solid mounted box, which won't swing in the wind.

Bat houses should be installed as high as possible, and preferably in a sunny, sheltered spot. Bats tend to use hedges and tree lines as both feeding areas and navigation aids so mounting the boxes in these areas will increase the chances of bats making a home in your box. Having bats make their home in your garden or on your farm promotes biodiversity while helping to control insect populations.
